A Beautiful Life
This pretty girl's name is Wen-Ting Yuan. She's 20 year old when the earthquake took her beautiful life away.
Yuan was a first grade teacher at the Minzhu Central Elementary School in Shigu near the city of Shifang. When the rescuers found her, she looked like a frightened hen trying all her might to cover the little chicks under her wings. Yuan had all the opportunities to save her own life. When the earthquake started, she's still teaching and the building where she taught didn't collapse immediately. Actually, most teachers and students from the school survived the disasters with only less than twenty casualties.
According to the survivors, Yuan's students were too frightened and too young to follow instructions. They were stupefied by the horrible scenes. Most of them just sat there, scared out of their minds. Yuan tried her best running in and out of the building over and over again. Each time she got in, she tried to carry out as many kids as she could. The last time she went in, the building collapsed on her.
